Electromechanical Assembler
1st Shift | $17+ | Lockport, IL
Overview
We are seeking several experienced assemblers for the electromechanical sector of a manufacturing company in Lockport, IL. In this position you will perform various assemblies, including box builds that hold PCBs. You will be responsible for wire/cable/harness assembly, some SMT and/or through-hole hand assembly (solder). You will also inspect electrical and/or mechanical assemblies, chassis, cables, and harnesses for defects.

Responsibilities
Perform electro-mechanical assembly including box builds.
Conduct wire/cable/harness assembly.
Perform SMT and/or through-hole hand assembly (solder).
Inspect electrical and/or mechanical assemblies, chassis, cables, and harnesses for defects.
Prepare for assembly by cutting wire, stripping, wiring, fastening connections, and pulling kits.
Complete other job-related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
2+ years electrical assembly experience (PCB experience is a plus)
2+ years mechanical assembly experience2+ years soldering experience
Ability to solder and/or rework fine pitch SMT parts under magnification is a plus.
Mechanically inclined with the ability to use hand tools and small power tools.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to follow verbal instructions as well as written procedures.
Good attitude and reliability.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Excellent eye-hand coordination.
Excellent manual dexterity.
Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Work Environment
The work environment is quiet, and you will have your own workspace or workbench to perform the required tasks. You can work at your own pace for the most part but must be able to meet deadlines. The role involves repetitive operations, and you must have excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. You should be capable of regularly lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs and standing for long periods.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr.
