About the Site
The Center of Excellence is a multi-use building with the Facilities
Tech supporting and maintaining the various departments to keep the
building running at its best.
Position Overview:
The Facilities Technician will be a Team player performing operations,
maintenance, warehouse operations and craft technical support to achieve
safe, cost-effective, and environmentally acceptable operation and
maintenance of all equipment. As the Facilities Technician, you will
ensure that the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing are working properly
at the Center of Excellence.
Responsibilities:
The Facilities Technician will be performing operations, warehouse,
maintenance, and technical support to achieve safe, cost-effective
operation and maintenance of the site
Cleaning and maintenance: Cleaning, maintaining, and repairing
building fixtures and equipment
Receiving and shipping: Receiving, unloading, and recording parts,
equipment, tools, and other supplies
Inventory: Maintaining inventory records and compiling stock reports
Orders: Processing orders, determining the source of supply, and
initiating purchase orders
Equipment operation: Operating equipment such as forklifts, dollies,
hand lifts, and cranes
Transportation: Determining the appropriate transportation for
shipping goods and preparing bills of lading
Receiving and shipping: Receiving, unloading, and recording parts,
equipment, tools, and other supplies
Inventory: Maintaining inventory records and compiling stock reports
Orders: Processing orders, determining the source of supply, and
initiating purchase orders
Equipment operation: Operating equipment such as forklifts, dollies,
hand lifts, and cranes
Transportation: Determining the appropriate transportation for
shipping goods and preparing bills of lading
Communication: Interacting with internal and external clients and
meeting with customer department personnel
Construction: Constructing buildings, sheds, stairways, fences,
partitions, cabinets, and more
Installing: Installing lighting, outlets, machine hook ups, window
frames, sashes, screens, doorframes, doors, siding, floors, roofs,
insulation, and more
Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting a variety of building systems,
including HVAC, Alarms, security cameras, access control, plumbing,
and electrical
Maintaining keys and locks: Maintaining keys and locks including
repairing, pinning lock cores, cutting keys, repairing, and
replacing handles, hinges, and closers
The Technician will work various shifts and be subject to scheduled
and unscheduled overtime
Must be able to read and understand schematic blueprints and
technical documents
Uses computerized maintenance management system to initiate work
requests for material deficiencies noted during shift operations
Performs other duties as assigned
Facility Technician 1 Required Skills:
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid driver\'s license and acceptable driving record
6 months to 3 years of relatedfacilities maintenance experience
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software
Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer
visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Facility Technician 1 Preferred Skills:
Construction experience
Licensed electrician
HVAC and/or Electrical experience is a plus
Facility Technician 2 Required Skills:
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid driver\'s license and acceptable driving record
3+ years of related facilities maintenance experience
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software
Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer
visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Facility Technician 2 Preferred Skills:
Construction experience
Licensed electrician
HVAC and/or Electrical experience is a plus
