Maintenance Technician - Career Opportunity - Escondido, CA
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely operation of our production equipment. The ideal candidate will serve as the technical expert for all machines within the production facility, performing work orders and preventive maintenance, and responding to emergency repair calls as needed.
Responsibilities
Keep the equipment operating safely, efficiently, and on time to meet production demands.
Serve as the technical expert on all machines in the production facility.
Perform work orders and preventive maintenance as assigned.
Make recommendations for preventive maintenance adjustments and/or additions to equipment.
Assist with developing appropriate training protocols for new employees.
Respond to emergency calls and make immediate repairs whenever needed.
Follow lockout/tagout procedures where appropriate.
Conduct routine inspections of machines and parts.
Keep the maintenance shop clean and organized.
Order parts used, keep the parts in inventory, and update the database in the CMMS program as needed.
Work safely and bring issues to the attention of management.

PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting certification
Trade school training in a related field (a plus)
5 years of relevant production maintenance experience (required)
Demonstrated experience working with 120V AC to 480 AC 3Ph; motors, pumps, gears, gearboxes, press machines, stamping machines, pumps, direct drives, chain drives, belt drives, conveyor cams, compressors, hydraulics, agitators, and screens (required)
Knowledge of solid-state controllers, VFDs, and electrical troubleshooting (a plus)
Experience reading blueprints and schematics (required)
Experience using basic testing devices such as ammeters, voltage meters, and pneumatic testing tools (required)
Work Environment
You will work in a large baking manufacturing company where the environment can be very hot due to ovens running 24/7. You will experience a strong smell of baked goods. The work schedule runs from Sunday to Friday with shifts from 1pm-10pm and 9pm-5am. Overtime on weekends will be required as needed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
