The Switchboard Operators primary function is to route incoming calls from a large, high-volume switchboard system and take accurate messages for Center staff. This person must remain aware of staff whereabouts and Center events which would prevent staff from taking incoming calls. This position will provide excellent customer service and perform various clerical duties as requested
Answer and route incoming calls appropriately, ensuring that accurate messages are distributed as needed.
Assist with data entry, maintenance and accuracy as needed for various programs including creating file folders for program staff.
Maintain Room Reservation Log for the Center.
Update the phone directory immediately (within 1 day) upon changes.
Mail out letters.
Assisting with files purge/storage and create list for storage.
Create daily inbound call list and submit to Site Manager.
Responsible for preparing and submitting supply orders.
Perform any other clerical duties as assigned by management.
Maintain a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service to avoid complaints.
Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least one (1) years of administrative/clerical experience.
Must have good computer skills, including experience with MS Office suite.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated customer service skills.
Preferred:
Previous experience with TWIST software system.
Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas.
While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of work station and other office equipment.
Frequent typing, writing, bending and twisting.
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
