Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description
We have an immediate opening near Roselle, IL for an Electrical Engineer. This position is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of industrial control systems, including initial concepts, proposals and cost estimates, schematic and B.O.M. generation, programming (optional), startup, and support.
Responsibilities
Design electrical control cabinets using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Develop three-phase power circuits (up to 575VAC) including motors, heaters, and transformers.
Create control circuits both AC and DC.
Utilize analog signals.
Integrate industrial sensing and actuating devices.
Prepare initial concepts, proposals, and cost estimates.
Generate schematics and B.O.M.
Provide startup and support for systems.
Optionally, create programs on various PLC platforms and develop HMI interfaces.
Essential Skills
Experience designing electrical control panels in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (1-5 years).
Ability to identify electrical components and read and interpret electrical schematics and circuit diagrams.
Experience with three-phase power systems up to 575 VAC.
Proficiency in office applications like Excel and Word.
Excellent communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
PLC/HMI programming experience (optional).
Electrical design experience.
Knowledge of UL 508A standards.
Work Environment
The work environment is primarily an office setting (80%) focused on design, with some time spent on the shop floor (20%) assisting electricians and assemblers. The position offers a 40-hour work week from Monday to Friday with very flexible start times. The company has a great employee culture, promotes from within, and encourages a team-first mentality. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $40.86/hr.
