What You Will Do:
This position is within the water-cooled chiller contract engineering team. We are seeking a hands-on engineer to work on contract chiller sales orders, and interface with our design team as needed. This role will focus on providing wiring diagrams, panel diagrams, instrumentation, and possibly system wiring components.
How You Will Do It:
As Electrical Engineer within our Chillers product development team, you will be responsible for electrical analysis, detailed design, and control, as well as overall electrical performance of sophisticated water-cooled chillers components and systems, including providing support to manufacturing and design and drafters. In this role you will work on providing wiring diagrams, panel diagrams, instrumentation (BOMs), ECNs, and possibly system wirings in time. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
What We Look For:
Required
BS in Electrical Engineering, or EMET and or related science.
Minimum 3 years' experience (BS degree) in a related field and directly handling Hazardous Environments jobs.
Ability to read, understand, and create electrical and control schematics
Ability to troubleshoot and debug electrical and control circuits
Understanding of process and machine control fundamentals
Ability to manage details of technical requirements including task assignments, tracking and communications
Ability to create electrical schematics and panel design layouts
Ability to manage workload effectively (planning, organization, communication of tasks)
Strong teamwork skills (will be part of multidisciplinary teams working major developments)
Knowledgeable around different Comms Protocols (RS485, RS232, Ethernet)
Experience with CAD tools and 3D modeling (AutoCAD and CERO or SolidWorks)
Experience creating Harness & Power Distribution Drawings
Experience with Hazardous Environments and the requirements needed for Electrical designs and safety requirements. (Class 1, DIV 1; and Class 1, DIV 2)
Preferred:
Refrigeration system knowledge (chillers, heat pumps, etc.)
Mechanical aptitude (connection to the "system" they're controlling)
Experience with creating BOMs
Good trainer in CAD tools (inexperienced employee(s) could benefit from partnering with this candidate)
ERP Experience (SAP preferred)
P&ID Experience
Creo Cabling Experience
