The Office Assistant coordinates clerical support services
Essential Functions
Maintains/creates e-mail distribution lists, databases, simple spreadsheets, office supplies, and files
Distributes departmental mail
Answers phones
Assist in preparation of accurate bills of lading and other shipping documents, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining organized records.
Assisting the Safety and Logistics Specialists in incident investigations and various safety related duties
Assist in Data Entry and Documentation with the heavy workload from Facility, Safety and Logistic departments
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
Competencies
Familiarity with administrative and office procedures, including file and record management.
Intermediate proficiency of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to successfully manage concurrent projects and multiple priorities
Strong organizational skills
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Good attendance and work history
