What Youll Do:
As an Engineering Assistant in Communications, you will:
Design and Develop:
Create and analyze engineering drawings and specifications for advanced communication systems.
Collaborate and Innovate:
Work alongside engineers and technicians to design, install, and test systems like SCADA remote terminals, IP-based networking infrastructure, and security/video systems.
Field and Technical Expertise:
Conduct site surveys, inspections, and data collection to support communications projects.
Project Support:
Prepare cost estimates, material lists, and detailed CAD drawings for engineering projects.
Technical Consultation:
Assist with system studies and provide insight into special projects.
What Youll Bring to the Team:
Education:
Associate degree in electronics, telecommunications, or computer networking from a recognized vocational/technical school.
Experience: Four (4) years in a related engineering technician role or comparable position.
Skills: Proficiency in CAD drafting, telecommunications design, and engineering software.
