About the Role
As? ?a Manager of the Resident Technology Strategist (RTS) team at? ?HashiCorp, you will be responsible for managing a small team of Resident Technology Leads and Engineers engaged across eight customers. This includes oversight of customer engagement delivery, semi-annual employee reviews, managing employee career growth, and providing escalation assistance to the customer engagements being managed by your team.
The RTS team has proven instrumental in accelerating time-to-value for HashiCorp customers, guiding organizations through multidimensional challenges, and enabling innovation with scalable, cutting-edge solutions.
What You'll Do:
Customer Delivery
Act as a delivery manager across up to eight customer engagements.
Coordinate various HashiCorp professional services resources to assist with specific customer needs as part of their technical transformation.
Act as an escalation point for the customer engagements being managed by your team members.
Assist in developing and driving the direction of the RTS program.
Educate various tiers of management on best practices regarding system administration, service management, automation, and observability.
Assist customers in aligning people, processes, and workflows with the Cloud Operating Model.
Assist Enterprise executives in understanding the business value achieved in building the correct cloud consumption model.
Articulate the technical functionality of HashiCorp products to multiple audiences ranging from practitioner to executive.
Track data regarding the impact of services on customer success.
Be subject to additional background checks and screening performed by the customer.
People Management
Hold regular syncs with the employees on your team to ensure their needs are met from both a personal and professional perspective.
Assist in career growth management for the people on your team.
What You'll Need:
9+ years of experience designing and implementing technical systems and services.
Experience leading technical teams in the delivery of large projects or initiatives.
Thorough understanding of DevOps processes and automation toolchains.
Intermediate? ?expertise? ?in? ?cloud and on-premise infrastructure? ?management,? ?application? ?deployment, and? ?practical security? ?methodology.?
Working proficiency with one or more tools in the HashiCorp product suite.
Familiarity with security and compliance requirements for shared services.
The ability to work well independently and in group environments.
A proven track record of assisting with or driving cloud transformation at one or more organizations.
Passion for thought leadership in areas including the cloud operating model, organizational transformation, cloud operations, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
Experience managing cloud maturity and capability assessments, leading the design and implementation of cloud governance and operational processes, and developing cloud transformation roadmaps.
Familiarity with cloud service providers and their core offerings, common technical platforms, and shared service management at scale.
The ability to speak to all levels of an organization, whether at a deep technical level or at the executive level.
The ability to explain complex technical topics in simple terms.
Strong technical writing capabilities.
Experience and high level of comfort with public speaking in technical forums.
Proven experience in a technical leadership role (e.g., CTO, Solutions Architect, or Developer Advocate) with hands-on knowledge of software development and system architecture.
Extensive understanding of the cloud practitioner and developer ecosystems.
