Job Title: Test Automation Engineer - Electrical EngineeringJob Description
The Test Automation Engineer will design and deliver test systems for electronic products. This role will identify gaps in test coverage and own the design and delivery of the hardware and software test solutions. Additional duties include test plan definition for new products and new features, supporting the software, firmware, and hardware design teams. The Test Automation Engineer will also design and execute PCBA and electrical components with hands-on testing and rework, as well as design and implement next-generation test automation hardware systems to facilitate fast and repeatable testing of products.
Responsibilities
Design and deliver test systems for electronic products.
Identify gaps in test coverage and develop solutions.
Define test plans for new products and features.
Support software, firmware, and hardware design teams.
Design and execute PCBA and electrical component testing.
Implement next-generation test automation hardware systems.
Develop and manage product lifecycle of Test Automation Systems, including requirements, design, build, integration, and deployment.
Develop test and validation strategies.
Develop test automation from component level to system level.
Essential Skills
Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals.
Circuit design and analysis.
Experience in PCB schematic capture and layout, Altium is a plus.
Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Labview (preferred), Python, or C++.
Experience in building automated test stations.
Proficiency with Oscilloscope.
Experience in test plan development and requirement management.
Capability to design and deliver complete test solutions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience developing 8+ layer PCBs through the entire product lifecycle.
Experience in scripting to develop automation.
Experience in component selection.
Work Environment
You will be supporting Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) with a team of 65 members. Programs you will be involved with include Roadrunner, Ghost, Anvil, and Fury. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $90.00/hr.
