Cars today are loaded with electronic technology. They contain many
independent on-board computers which are frequently networked together.
These computers and their many sensors control the engine, transmission,
climate control and entertainment systems. When something goes wrong
it\'s not easy to find the cause and fix it.
That\'s where Snap-on products come in. We design and build the
electronic tools technicians use to communicate with the vehicle\'s
on-board computers. We help the technician understand what\'s happening,
and provide information to solve the problem quickly and accurately.
Our facility in Lincolnshire, IL, is home to the engineers who develop
hardware, firmware and application software. We are looking for a
student who is energetic, conscientious, and hard working. It\'s a great
opportunity to work with a very experienced group of engineers who make

We are looking for an electrical or hardware engineering intern to
assist with new product development and sustaining engineering of
Internet enabled hand-held embedded products
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining firmware and
applications on multiple platforms and products globally
Contribute as a member in a hardware development team
Design and develop new cross-platform features while focusing on
quality
Work as part of a cross-functional global team
Multiplatform/Android development
problem solving / debugging skills
communication skills - written and verbal
Self-motivated
We are looking for a student who:
1) Has transportation to the northwest suburbs of Chicago
(Lincolnshire, IL)
2) Has a passion for the automotive industry
3) Completed at least two years toward a hardware or electrical
Engineering degree.
