Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant with a growing private equity backed oil and gas services client, located in Houston, Texas. We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team, where you will be responsible for providing vital accounting support, including record preparation, research, reporting, and more.
Responsibilities:
Accurately and efficiently process general cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
Handle the preparation of periodic balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
Manage the general ledger, including coding invoices, setting up new accounts, and closing the monthly books.
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger account reconciliations for all @types of accounts, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intangibles.
Prepare and file monthly and quarterly state sales taxes.
Assist with financial statement preparation for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including consolidations.
Work with AR, AP, and other departments to resolve issues.
Reconcile bank accounts regularly, verify deposits, and address inquiries from banks.
Reconcile customer accounts and oversee accounts receivable collections.
Assist with the annual external audit.
Prepare monthly journal entries.
Requirements - Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
Knowledge of General Ledger operations
Skilled in creating and managing Journal Entries
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with Month End Close procedures
Experience with Deltek software is preferred
