The job of the Facilities Maintenance Technician is to provide
maintenance services as needed and/or assigned, assisting in a wide
variety of maintenance activities, addressing immediate operational
and/or safety concerns, assisting skilled trades, and ensuring that
tools, materials, equipment, and vehicles are maintained in good working
order and are available at branch locations when needed.

Perform basic rough and finished carpentry repair of structures,
including partitions, walls, doors, fences, window frames, office
furniture, roofs, and shelves. This duty is performed as needed, about
12% of the time.

Perform basic electrical repair work for switches, outlets, plugs,
cables, appliances, and lighting systems. This duty is performed as
needed, about 15% of the time.

Identifies and performs basic repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks,
opens clogged lines and drains, replaces seals and other minor parts,
maintains drinking foundations. This duty is performed as needed, about
12% of the time.

Repairs, replaces, and maintains hot water heaters and other
appliances. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time.

Applies and prepares various surfaces for paint, enamel, lacquer,
varnish, or stain. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the
time.

Removes or paints over graffiti. This duty is performed as needed,
about 1% of the time.

Reports unsafe electrical conditions. This duty is performed daily,
about 5% of the time.

Repairs wall coverings. This duty is performed as needed, about 1%
of the time.

Maintain assigned vehicle. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of
the time.

Respond to emergency situations during regular working hours and
after hours, for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.

Clean drive-thru lanes and ATMs. This duty is performed quarterly,
about 5% of the time.

Perform preventative maintenance on branches and equipment on a
scheduled basis. This duty is performed daily, about 23% of the time.

Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work sites. This duty is
performed daily, about 5% of the time.

The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe
manner. This duty is performed daily, about 100% of the time.

Completes required BSA/AML training and all other required training
sessions, as assigned. This duty is performed as needed, about 1% of the
time.

Repairs or replaces flooring such as carpet tiles or luxury vinyl
tile. This duty is performed as needed, about 1% of the time.

Complete assigned tickets in a timely manner via Service Now. This
duty is performed daily, about 50% of the time.

Maintain and protect assigned laptop computer. This duty is
performed daily, about 100% of the time.

Basic locksmith duties. This duty is performed as needed, about 5%
of the time.

Move furniture and equipment. This duty is performed as needed,
about 10% of the time.

Maintain shared storage and warehouse space. This duty is performed
as needed, about 15% of the time.

Snow and ice removal. This duty is performed as needed, about 2% of
the time.

Parking lot striping. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of
the time.

Maintain paperwork and receipts. This duty is performed daily,
about 25% of the time.

Basic HVAC knowledge and repairs. This duty is performed weekly,
about 20% of the time.

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform
each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed
below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability
required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job
education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing,
clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 5 years related
experience and/or training, and 2 years related management experience,
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions
in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients,
general public and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure,
using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute
rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out
written, oral or diagrammed instructions. Ability to deal with problems
involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.
