The Electrician I is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures within the campus. This role requires a thorough knowledge of electrical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. May work on campus generators and maintain associated records.

Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring,

circuit breakers, transformers, and other components

Diagnose and resolve electrical issues using appropriate testing

devices and tools

Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify

hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repairs

Plan and execute electrical installations and repairs in accordance

with local and national codes and regulations

Collaborate with other trades and contractors as needed to complete

projects efficiently

Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials
