We're looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer in Cary, NC who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients' business. Join us and you'll have the chance to work on projects including state of the art industrial, commercial, and other state of the art manufacturing facilities. You'll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will produce designs for Medium and low voltage power distribution systems, Lighting, Grounding, Fire Alarm, Security, Public Address, Telecomm and Heat Trace systems. You'll also interact directly with the client, owner, and contractors to assist during construction. You and the other members of your team will work closely with client owners in a fast paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents. You' will also have the chance to utilize your technical expertise to mentor other professionals, helping your team discover what drives them, nurturing their purpose and guiding them forward.
You'll also assist directly with the more complex portions of the design process, interacting directly with the client, owner, and contractors to assist construction on site. You and your team will work closely with client owners in a fast paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents.

Summary:
The Electrical Engineer will plan, organize, and perform Electrical engineering activities and provide direction to the electrical engineering team
The Electrical Engineer will assure compliance with Client, Jacobs and industry standards on their assigned project.
Candidate will develop key Electrical deliverables in the preparation of scopes of work and estimates to support the project.
Perform calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial applications.
Perform tier reviews of project deliverables to ensure accuracy, conformance to codes, specifications, design criteria and conformance to good engineering practices.
Must also be familiar with Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio), Revit, AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional Engineer license
At least 10 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems
Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC), and IEEE standards
Experience with UPS and EPMS Systems
Experience with generator sizing and paralleling Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ideally, you'll also have:
Electrical design experience
Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary and international teams
