Marine Carpenter - San Diego, CA (1st Shift)
Job Description
Install or assist in the installation and/or construction of bulkheads, ceiling panels, doors and trim, windows, rails, hardware, and any other related construction activities assigned by the Supervisor.
Install or assist in caulking windows, doors, wash basins, and toilet and shower compartments.
Responsibilities
Use tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
Install or assist in the installation of insulation of compartment floors, ceilings, or interior/exterior walls.
Install adhesives, tiles, and carpeting.
Review and interpret blueprints and sketches.
Assist with electrical work including cable sizing, strapping, and installation of lights, switches, and power panels.
Adhere to safety rules and regulations.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Carpentry
Sheet metal fabrication
Framing
Installation using hand and power tools
Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings
Construction experience is a plus
Sheet metal experience ideal
Experience in unfinished structures of vessels
Mechanically inclined
Ability to read and interpret documents and instruction
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
