Overview
The Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking an
enthusiastic team player to join us as Motor Vehicle Call Center Agent!
Duties include:
Handle all incoming calls and electronic inquiries with
professionalism and efficiency.
Process various applications accurately and swiftly.
Manage fees, audits, and weekly statistics with precision.
Maintain office supplies and ensure everything is in order.
Research and resolve transactions from all DMV offices across
Vermont.
Exercise independent judgment within legal guidelines.\
This position will help you develop your skills in customer service,
administration, and data management while workingunder the guidance of a
dedicated Unit Supervisor who supports your growth. The ideal candidate
will have strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor, excellent
organizational abilities and attention to detail, and acommitment to
providing top-notch service to our community.
Environmental Factors
Incumbents must be able to work quickly and accurately under pressure
before the public eye/social media, from written, electronic and from
telephone inquiries. Due to significant contact from verbal abuse stress
induced illness is a daily risk. Incumbents must be able to multi-task
and prioritize unpredictable workloads. Employees must be able to deal
with confused, frustrated, and highly upset customers and handle large
sums of money. Within the office setting, normal workplace conditions
prevail. Incumbents must be able to perform several job duties within
several different units possibly in the same day. The incumbent must be
able to work faster with minimal notice to assist when staffing
shortages occur and various scheduled hours. Private means of
transportation may be required. Overtime work may be required.
