Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in the non-profit sector based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The role involves working extensively with the local community to address housing issues and requires a strong understanding of compliance regulations and grant management.
Responsibilities:
Engage with the local community to facilitate housing solutions
Utilize grants to secure necessary funds for housing
Assist community members in preparing and submitting necessary documentation for housing eligibility
Calculate income and rent to ensure affordability and compliance with housing regulations
Maintain comprehensive records of all activities and interactions
Collaborate with team members to optimize service delivery
Utilize Microsoft Excel extensively for data management and reporting
Adhere to all compliance guidelines and regulations in all activities
Provide customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Participate in ongoing training activities to enhance skills and knowledge. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year experience in an administrative role
Proficiency in answering inbound calls in a courteous manner
Experience in preparing appropriate documentation
Basic office skills including clerical duties
Demonstrated ability in managing client relations
Proficiency in completing documentation and paperwork
Knowledge of compliance functions
Ability to manage computer files and use a computer keyboard effectively
Experience in confirming appointments
Familiarity with handling customer contracts
Proficiency in database administration and management
Experience in managing department files and records
Ability to prepare detailed documentation
Experience in financial counseling would be advantageous
Must have a friendly and outgoing personality
Ability to maintain records effectively
Knowledge of office functions
Proven organizational effectiveness
Proficiency in spreadsheet software and data entry
Experience in numeric data entry
Knowledge of regulatory compliance
