As part of the Marketing and Branding team, the Senior Graphic Designer provides creative and branding support for corporate functions and business operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their ability to create visually compelling designs that align with our brand and strategic goals, as well as a demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects and effectively collaborate with team members at every level of the organization. US Citizenship is required to apply. This role is a remote-telework role; we prefer that the candidate is local to our Herndon Virginia office for collaboration meetings that may be required a few days a year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement creative concepts for Marketing & Communications campaigns, ensuring visual consistency and brand integrity across various marketing channels.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support their strategic objectives with effective visual solutions, presenting ideas and efficiently refining designs.
- Oversee the visual design aspects of projects from conception to final delivery, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and client needs.
- Conduct technical quality checks and help review and approve work submitted to corporate Creative team, ensuring high-quality and compliance with brand guidelines.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and ensuring quality control throughout the design process.
- Act as a steward for the Amentum brand, educating and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure design and brand consistency across all platforms.
- Create a wide variety of visual assets for print and digital media, including fact sheets, reports, presentations, social media, advertisements, and websites.
- Actively monitor industry trends, technology, and best practices and ensure their application as appropriate.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication, collaboration, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
- Impeccable attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Demonstrated curiosity and passion for industry trends, technology, and best practices
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years professional experience in graphic design, preferably in a corporate or agency setting.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Bridge) and other design software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with a focus on PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in government or public sector.
- Knowledge of web design and HTML/CSS.
- Familiarity with video editing and animation software.
- We prefer that you live within driving distance to our Herndon, VA office for occasional meetings throughout the year.
