Position: PLC Project Planning Manager
Responsible for planning automated Logistics projects from construction
through full operation. Plans electrical circuits for controls
integration of automated systems. Oversees software development for
project specific machine and conveyor application. Supervises and
coordinates electrical installation and commissioning of automated
systems. Coordinates Commissioners, Electricians, and Mechanics in
modifying, maintaining, and repairing electronics equipment/systems to
ensure proper functioning. Coordinates automated system testing and
continuous improvement processing with customer and IT counterparts.
Assists and trains WITRON and customer personnel in technical machine
applications within automated system. Creates procedures and
documentation and risk analyses for system installation and equipment
setup. Develops and improves automated system operation processes.
Supervises all Commissioning employees during installation/operations
and repairs. May telecommute from any location in the U.S. 90% domestic
and international travel required to manage projects at customer sites.
Supervises approximately 15 subordinate positions with titles such as
PLC Commissioners, Electricians, and Mechanics.
This position requires 5 years of related experience commissioning an
automated logistics system and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a
leadership role within an industrial, manufacturing, or logistics
environment. In the alternative, the company will accept a Bachelors
degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related
field and 1 year of related experience within a logistics environment.
Must also have 12 months of experience with each of the following: (1)
Programming and testing Beckhoff/Siemens PLC automated equipment such as
ARS Cranes, Case packing machine, Stretch wrapper, Depalletizers, and
conveyor system; (2) Understanding electrical schematics and drawing of
automated equipment and associated components (Servo drives, safety
circuits, and AC/DC Power circuits); (3) Material flow planning with
Autocad and creating procedures and documentation for system
installation and equipment setup; (4) Troubleshooting and repairing
mechanical/electrical systems; and (5) Training subordinate equipment
technicians and equipment operators on all automated equipment. Will
accept experience gained concurrently. Candidates must past a drug test
before beginning employment. 90% domestic and international travel
required to manage projects at customer sites. Salary: \$90,000 to
\$115,000/year. Full-time, telecommuting available from anywhere in US.
