Job Description:
Manage and coordinate activities between departments to meet product development requirements from project award through launch. Develop and maintain project timelines. Maintain project Scope and Charter. Lead and manage engagements with customers, internal team leads, and third-party vendors. Deliver project financial targets as set by the business unit in the Project Baseline presentation. Simultaneously set priorities and direction for multiple programs in development. Obtain final Project Authorization Approval after customer award is received. Coordinate all proto@type builds including the procurement of preproduction materials. Coordinate the Run at Rate process including internal readiness reviews. Generate and facilitate documentation per departmental processes including leading Phase Gate reviews, publishing weekly Project Reports, maintaining project data in SAP RPM, leading the Risk Management process, and supporting the Quarterly Project Review Process. Execute projects in accordance with ASPICE. Lead the Change Management process during the project development cycle including Product changes, Scope changes, and Requirements Management. Compile lessons learned through the entire development cycle of the project. Lead problem-solving as needed on assigned projects.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and five years of experience in manufacturing project management and product design. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, the employer will accept an additional two (2) years of experience in manufacturing project management and product design.
Must have five (5) years of experience in all of the following:
Automotive project development and launch; and
Automotive development project planning.
Must have three (3) years of experience in all of the following:
Tracking and resolving open project issues;
Leading the development of USB or wireless chargers;
Participating in research and development on programs or projects related to complex electronics supporting automotive OEMs; and
Utilizing all of the following problem-solving tools: 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa Diagrams.
Must have two (2) years of experience in all of the following:
Risk Management.
Telecommuting permitted up to two days per week. International travel required up to 10% to Europe and Mexico. Domestic travel required up to 10% to company head office.
