Description
Robert Half Legal is assisting a boutique personal injury law firm located in El Segundo in their search for a dedicated Legal Assistant to support their team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in legal administrative support, particularly within personal injury litigation.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative assistance to attorneys, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and organizing case files.
Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and court filings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Maintain case management systems, track deadlines, and oversee the organization of case-related materials.
Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for case preparation.
Communicate with clients professionally, including assisting with intake and updating them on case status.
Prepare, process, and e-file documents in court, ensuring compliance with state filing requirements.
Handle general office administrative duties, such as ordering supplies and maintaining contact lists.
Requirements
Requirements:
Previous experience in a legal assistant or similar role (personal injury law experience is preferred but not required).
Proficiency in legal case management software as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with California litigation processes and e-filing systems is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and work both independently and collaboratively.
