Job Title: Steam Plant Manager
Job Description
Candidates will be responsible for supervising a team of stationary engineers at the steam plant, including managing the operations and maintenance of boilers, pumps, and other mechanical equipment critical to the supply of steam and condensate return for buildings at the tech center.
Responsibilities
Supervise the team of stationary engineers at the steam plant.
Manage the operations and maintenance of boilers, pumps, and other mechanical equipment.
Ensure the efficient supply of steam and condensate return for buildings.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including boilers and cooling towers.
Hold team members accountable, including trades folks and supervisors.
Schedule tasks and order necessary parts.
Provide excellent customer service.
Essential Skills
5 plus years of facilities or operations management or supervision experience.
Knowledge of boilers, pumps, compressors, electric motors, and water treatment.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems.
Leadership or supervision experience, including scheduling and parts ordering.
Great customer service skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Leadership development.
Operations and facilities maintenance.
Mechanical systems knowledge.
HVAC and plumbing experience.
Universal CFC and refrigeration license.
Experience with cooling towers.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $40.87/hr.
