Bookkeeper/Admin Role - Contract to Permanent
Location: Onsite in Burlingame, CA
Industry: Service Company (Preferred experience in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical industries)
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Admin for an onsite role with a growing service company in Burlingame. This position begins as a contract role with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position, offering the chance to contribute to a dynamic team and develop your career within a stable organization. You'll play an essential role in supporting day-to-day bookkeeping and administrative functions for a busy service business. Candidates with experience in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical industries are highly encouraged to apply!
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
Handle invoicing, billing, and tracking payments from customers.
Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding payments and invoices.
Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing office supplies, and data entry.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to bookkeeping and accounting.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or other financial support roles.
Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar programs
Experience in service industries (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) highly preferred.
Strong Excel skills and ability to manage spreadsheets.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in financial transactions.
Exceptional communication skills for teamwork and collaboration.
Requirements:
Ability to work onsite at our Burlingame, CA office.
