In this role you will:
Participate in Electrical / Electronic / Electromechanical /
Electrooptical (EEEE) Parts Engineering technical assignments related to
hardware design, manufacture and test.
Participate in the selection, qualification, test and failure analysis of
EEEE Parts.
Prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare
specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports
Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering,
Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain organization.
Work on electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes,
integrated circuits (ICs), hybrids, crystals, crystal oscillators,
filters, fuses, heaters, magnetics, microcircuits, relays,
semiconductors, ther
Travel and work closely with suppliers and government agencies to ensure
electronic component selections meet both quality expectations and product
performance requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or related technical field
Formal coursework, training, experience and/or knowledge in the
design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical parts and
circuits, semiconductor physics and/or operation of devices such as
hybrids, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes and capacitors
Knowledge of design, functionality, manufacturing, materials and
processes used in EEEE parts
Experience reviewing engineering drawings and/or specifications and
providing guidance to design and test teams.
Desired Skills:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Materials
Engineering with emphasis on electrical parts, semiconductor physics or
related field of study
Familiarity with technical requirements (specifications, program
plans/requirements, etc.)
Experience participating in major program milestone reviews such as PDR and
CDR
Active DoD Secret clearance or higher
Basic understanding of Nuclear effects on EEEE parts and demonstrated ability
to work closely with Survivability Engineers in strategic Rad Hard
applications
Familiarity with military specifications and engineering requirements
Basic understanding of worst-case analysis (WCA) / EEEE parts derating
and end of life requirements
Ability to evaluate current and developing technologies for EEEE parts in
complex design packages
Experience or knowledge of failure analysis, destructive physical analysis
and/or root cause and corrective action analysis related to EEEE parts
Experience establishing and implementing technical requirements
(specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.)
Experience regarding the full life cycle of integrated circuits (ICs),
discrete components, or magnetics (transformers), etc.
Experienced in working with suppliers of EEEE components.
