We are seeking a Patient Care Coordinator based in Phoenix, Arizona. The Patient Care Coordinator role is pivotal in our healthcare industry setting, where you will be tasked with a variety of administrative and customer service duties. The Patient Care Coordinator includes registering patients, verifying insurance eligibility and patient demographics, and handling patient financial responsibilities. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Effectively register and pre-register patients for healthcare services
Conduct thorough verification of insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations
Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient demographics
Navigate billing inquiries and manage patient medical records
Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions with patients
Collect co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles from patients
Adhere to hospital policies regarding patient rights and financial responsibilities
Utilize Microsoft Excel and other computer skills for administrative tasks
Answer inbound calls professionally and schedule appointments efficiently
Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
Assist in the preparation of correspondence and spreadsheets
Contribute to the overall productivity of the clinical operations
Handle administrative tasks to support higher level staff.
Requirements
Demonstrated proficiency in Customer Service
Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet programs
Knowledge of healthcare Policies and procedures
Experience in Answering Inbound Calls in a detail oriented manner
Ability to Schedule Appointments effectively
Experience with Billing Functions in a healthcare setting
Understanding of Insurance processes and terminologies
Proven experience in Supervising a team
Ability to make effective Presentations
Knowledge of Benefit Functions in a healthcare setting
Experience in Check Processing
Able to handle Correspondence in a detail oriented manner
Proficient in using Spreadsheets for data management
Ability to maintain high Productivity in a fast-paced environment
Experience in Clinical Trial Operations is a plus
Proven experience in providing Administrative Assistance
Familiarity with HealthCare.gov platform
Proficient in 10 Key Skills for data entry
Experience in handling Authorizations in a healthcare setting
Ability to work in a Business Unit and contribute to its success
Understanding of Deductible and other insurance related terms
Knowledge of Liability issues in a healthcare setting
Understanding of Copays and other patient payment methods
Experience in working with Offshore teams is a plus
