Overview:
We are working with a client seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in the development of cutting-edge electronic products. In this position, you will apply your expertise in PCB and system design, firmware development, and testing to enhance our products while collaborating with global engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
PCB and System Design: Lead the complete design process, from initial concept to production. Utilize your skills in ECAD software (e.g., Altium Designer) to create efficient multi-layer PCB schematics and layouts that meet high standards of reliability.
Firmware Development: Conduct embedded programming in C and C++, focusing on developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting firmware for microcontrollers (both 8-bit and 32-bit bare-metal and Real-Time OS).
Microcontroller Expertise: Leverage your deep understanding of microcontrollers (preferably AVR or STM32) to develop robust embedded systems that meet performance standards.
Prototyping: Transform designs into real-world proto@types by collaborating with vendors and ensuring successful product execution.
Testing and Validation: Design electrical test setups and instrumentation for comprehensive product validation testing to ensure quality and functionality.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Europe and Asia to guarantee seamless integration of electronics into our products, utilizing version control (e.g., SVN, Git, BitBucket) and bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
Problem Solving: Address complex engineering challenges through innovative thinking and creative solutions to technical issues.
Field Support: Provide technical assistance during field visits to troubleshoot electronic products, and work alongside the mechanical design team and Operations department to define project specifications and goals.
Project Oversight: Maintain technical oversight of projects performed by contract design sources, ensuring adherence to specifications, timelines, and budgets.
Circuit Design and Analysis: Design and analyze both analog and digital circuits, while developing effective maintenance, testing, and quality control procedures for electronics.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with advancements in the electronics field and proactively contribute to the improvement of existing electronic systems, components, equipment, and software.
Travel: Be open to domestic and international travel (approximately 10-15%).
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Software, or Computer Science Engineering.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in hardware, embedded system design, and software/firmware development.
Knowledge: Understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and assembly.
Skills: Exceptional problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, research, and analytical skills.
