Our client is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their dynamic team and assist with transactional legal matters in Chicago. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced legal support professional to leverage their skills in a direct-hire role at a well-established organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support for transactional legal matters, including contract preparation, corporate filings, and document management.
Handle drafting, proofreading, and formatting of correspondence and legal documents (e.g., agreements, resolutions, amendments).
Maintain and manage transactional files and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the organization's policies.
Monitor deadlines, coordinate logistics for meetings, and communicate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the completion of legal projects.
Conduct basic legal research and assist in preparing materials for corporate filings and compliance requirements.
Liaise between the legal team, clients, vendors, and third-party service providers.
Provide administrative support such as calendar management, travel scheduling, and expense reporting for attorneys and key stakeholders.
Requirements
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, with a strong background in transactional law. Corporate legal department or law firm experience preferred.
