Position:
The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is hiring an Administrative Assistant 2 for the Twin Falls Regional Office.
Salary Range: $19.04-$21.42
Responsibilities:
· Provide support for regional administrator:
Provide administrative support for regional management, including document reviews, clerical support, budget reporting, and recommendations on office operations.
Provide office assistance to regional sections as necessary and resources allow.
Coordinate office meetings and events within the regional office. This may involve coordination with program staff and external visitors.
Coordinate travel arrangements.
· Support daily office operation for the Twin Falls Regional Office:
Ensure regional office has supplies and services necessary to provide daily functions, including office supplies, equipment, and services.
Work with your team to ensure coverage of the front office, including phone coverage and the front door. Provide backup coverage as necessary.
· Provide support for financial and human resources for the Twin Falls Regional Office:
Maintain financial records following agency goals and procedures.
Manage fiscal accounting for regional office accounts receivable and payable, including contract development and purchasing.
Provide administrative support for human resources as necessary for the region.
· Supervise Administrative Assistant 1 and Technical Records Specialist:
Coach and mentor the other Administrative Assistant and Technical Records Specialist.
Direct their reports as necessary
· Support watershed advisory group and basin advisory group activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Good knowledge of:
office support functions including word processing
filing
composing a variety of business documents
reception
researching, compiling, and summarizing data for reports.
Experience:
interpreting, applying and explaining complex information such as regulations, policies or services
independently solving problems/performing liaison activities in a work setting
coordinating activities requiring complex arrangements.
Desired Specialty Minimum Qualification
Supervisory experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit and work on a computer for 2-4 hours at a time.
Ability to bend and reach for filing purposes.
Some periods of heavy reading and typing are required.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds over rough terrain.
Some travel may be required
Must have a valid driver's license
