Waste Connections has an immediate opening for an experienced AP/AR Specialist to join the team at our location in Ft. Worth, Texas.
The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using Microsoft programs. A/P and A/R experience is a must. Ultimately, a successful AP/AR Specialist should ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office. Must work well with others.
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
Monday-Friday starting at day shift typically working 40-50 hour a week with occasional Saturdays (Generally 1 per month).

Skills
Proficiency in A/P and A/R
Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistant
Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
Working knowledge of office equipment and printers
Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, in particular)
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
Attention to detail and problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
High School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant will be a plus
Responsibilities
A/P and A/R processing of transactions
Equipment Maintenance Filing
Organize and schedule appointments.
Some responsibility overlapping with Scalehouse
Answer and direct phone calls.
Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, and forms.
Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.
Maintain a filing system.
Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers.
Maintain contact lists.
