Description
We are offering a remote contract-to-hire opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Texas. This role requires CPA Firm or Tax Firm Experience.
Responsibilities:
Oversee transactions for personal and business bank accounts.
Manage the processing and organization of high-volume documents.
Take on responsibilities related to invoicing, bill payments, and payroll.
Maintain and manage client insurance policies.
Handle accounting for multiple distinct business entities.
Perform tasks related to the general ledger, including journal entries and month-end close.
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various tasks.
Manage and process accounts payable and receivable.
Collaborate with a team including CPAs and administrative assistants.
Potentially handle client-facing responsibilities after an initial period.
Requirements - Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and management
Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) operations
Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations
Understanding of General Ledger maintenance and reporting
Capability to prepare and manage Journal Entries
Ability to handle Month End Close processes
Proficiency in using NetSuite accounting software
Experience with Oracle financial software
Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software
Experience with SAP accounting and business software
