Position Summary
The Software Manager (S.M.) for Key ERP Systems is the primary resource for coordinating resources related to the operation, maintenance, planning, and user support for the ERP Portfolio. The S.M. will ensure applications in the portfolio are usable, intuitive, and convenient, and will support functional end-users. This S.M. will be part of a highly interactive IT team where mutual assistance is a constant. A similar environment of interaction and mutual assistance is also a major component of the college's ERP user community and the S.M. will be expected to be a leader and collaborator in this environment.
Functional end-users are responsible for day-to-day operation of Key ERP systems, and technical staff support the infrastructure of the various applications. Within this @context, the S.M. will provide project management. The S.M. will also perform operational duties to assist with training, testing, or provide short-term extra support when functional personnel bandwidth is limited.
Responsibilities
Manage the ERP Portfolio
You will collaboratively shape the strategy and roadmap for the software in the Key ERP Portfolio (currently Ellucian Banner, Banner Document Management, DegreeWorks, Transact Cashnet, Evisions Argos, ISE EnterpriseSchedule).
You thrive on learning. You will develop knowledge about the Key ERP Portfolio and related software, ensuring their effective use across campus.
You believe in precision and reliability. You will manage the configuration, verify data integrity, and provide ongoing support for the software in the Key ERP Portfolio.
Compliance matters. You will ensure that integrations with other software comply with laws, license agreements, industry standards, and campus policies.
You are a steward of user access. You will maintain user accounts in accordance with regulations (FERPA, GLBA, etc), licensing agreements, and institutional policies.
You help people make sense of data. You will determine and develop end-user data processing and reporting requirements, providing solutions that achieve meaningful outcomes.
Clarity and support go hand in hand. You will create local documentation and provide high-level training to end-users as needed.
User experience is a priority. You will ensure that interfaces within the Key ERP Portfolio are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with the college's branding guidelines where possible and appropriate.
You are a strategic thinker. You will collaborate with teams across campus to plan enhancements, upgrades, and maintenance for the Key ERP Portfolio.
You take a forward-thinking approach. You will assess the current use of the Key ERP Portfolio, plan for software upgrades, and evaluate how well it meets the college's evolving needs. You will stay informed about developments in the marketplace to ensure the college is using the most effective and relevant solutions.
