Description
We are seeking a Business Analyst to assist on a project for a client in the gaming industry. The Business Analyst will primarily assist the automation of manual accounting procedures. The ideal Business Analyst must have strong accounting experience, possess coding skills, and an excellent understanding of accounting systems & Microsoft Excel. Prior Gaming experience is preferred but not required. This is a contract opportunity located in Henderson, Nevada.
The Business Analyst duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Utilize coding skills to automate manual accounting procedures within the gaming industry @context
Ensure efficient linkage of CSV files into workbooks to streamline data management
Conduct regular audits to detect anomalies and inconsistencies in accounting entries and automated processes
Ensure all coding and automation activities are in compliance with financial regulations and standards

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in the accounting field, preferably in the gambling industry
Proficient in Casino Gaming operations and related financial aspects
Demonstrated knowledge of Internal Control procedures and standards
Familiarity with Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) regulations
Proven experience in data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Proficient in Oracle accounting software to manage and process financial transactions
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data management and financial analysis
Ability to conduct audits, prepare audit reports, and perform audit tests to ensure compliance with industry regulations
Excellent analytical skills to identify discrepancies in financial data and resolve accounting issues.
