Job Summary: The Electrical Supervisor will oversee the electrical engineering for the Critical Infrastructure ("CI") division, ensuring the successful execution of projects, maintenance of electrical systems, and compliance with safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the electrical team
Plan and execute electrical projects
Ensure compliance with industry standards
Develop maintenance schedules
Conduct inspections and audits
Collaborate with other departments
Manage budgets and timelines
Stay updated on industry trends
Prepare project reports
Create work schedules and assign tasks
Provide safety and technical training
Assist with installation, troubleshooting, and repair
Design and improve electrical systems
Manage inventory and provide cost estimates
Coach and mentor the team
Technical Experience:
Extensive experience in electrical design and engineering
Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, MATLAB)
Knowledge of power distribution, control systems, and automation
Experience with high-voltage and low-voltage systems
Familiarity with renewable energy technologies
Understanding of safety standards
Troubleshooting complex issues
Experience with PLC programming and SCADA systems
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience
AC Electrical Contractors license
Proven leadership and team management skills
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and regulations
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Effective communication skills
Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office, Visio, CAD)
Familiarity with hazardous classifications
Safety Training: (Safety training is preferred but not required. On-the-job safety training will be provided.)
Completion of OSHA 30 safety training
Certification in First Aid and CPR
Training in the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Knowledge of and adherence to site-specific safety protocols and emergency procedures
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and heights
Ability to work in outdoor environments under various weather conditions extreme heat or cold
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
Ability to perform tasks requiring physical exertion
Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch
Ability to handle and operate tools and equipment safely
