Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in the manufacturing industry, based in Sandston, Virginia. The role involves a variety of administrative and accounting tasks, with an emphasis on inventory management, vendor relations, and office operations.
Responsibilities:
Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications
Maintain precise records of customer credit
Handle customer inquiries and monitor customer accounts
Collaborate with the Purchasing & Logistics Manager to ensure accurate and timely delivery or return of inventory
Assist in purchasing and receiving activities, including tracking, receiving, logging, labeling, sorting, and shipping related inventory
Manage office-related accounts with vendors and provide administrative support during client meetings
Take charge of office operations and functions, including filing, copying, scanning, shredding, printing, and mail distribution
Take initiative in identifying and implementing more efficient and cost-effective ways to manage office operations
Display proficiency in operating office equipment and troubleshooting any issues
Show adaptability in learning new software and techniques required for the position
Exhibit expertise in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
Assist in procurement and shipping/receiving logistics as needed. Requirements - Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required
Must have experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is a must
Familiarity with Billing procedures and protocols is required
Ability to efficiently manage Data Entry tasks
Experience in Invoice Processing is necessary
Must be adept at using Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks
Administrative Assistance skills are necessary for this role
