Location: Work on-site in Japan
ECC is seeking a Project Engineer with a specialty in ElectricalEngineering
for a ground-up construction project for a seven-story hotel in Japan. This
project is anticipated to start in February or March 2025 in country and is
expected to span approximately 2.5 years. In this position, you will:
Analyze project data to identify trends, problem areas, and risks
Develop, review, and interpret drawings and specifications
Report to project sites and conduct field review of ongoing work with ECC
personnel, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure compliance
with approved plans, drawings, and specifications
Maintain scope, budget, and schedule for assigned tasks
Apply industry standards of practice for selected technology, adhering to
regulatory codes, building codes, national/ local standards, and
company policies and standard operating procedures
Complete required documentation (field reports, daily logs, meeting
minutes, project submittals, waste records, photograph collection,
quality and safety reporting, inspections, etc.) in a timely and
accurate manne
Locate and interact with vendors for supplies and services
Assist with RFPs, evaluation of proposals, and purchase order justification
Red line and/or update as-built drawings
Develop Scope of Work (SOW) packages for issuance of subcontracts
Evaluate subcontract proposals and analyze scope gaps during buy-out phase
In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities,
tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction engineering.
Implement Federal regulations, DoD guidelines, OSHA standards, USACE QC
protocol, building codes/ standards, and FAR
Work well independently and as a team member
Ability to independently prioritize tasks with minimal guidance from
management, efficiently managing multiple responsibilities and meeting
deadlines.
Competent in using Microsoft Office products, email systems, Windows
Operating Systems, and other software product
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electricalengineering, Science, or a
Construction related field from an accredited institution. Equivalent
combination of education and experience may be substituted for this
requirement
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) certification desired
Previous experience working on international projects preferred
Proven track record in ground-up, multi-story construction projects
Demonstrated experience managing projects with budgets of $10 million or more.
ECC targeted base salary range is $60,000 to $80,000 annually.
Actual salary offered may be affected by education, training,
certifications, experience, skills, level of responsibility, and location.
