Description
We are offering a temp to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in El Cajon, California. In this role, you will ensure the smooth operation of accounting functions across multiple entities, oversee accounts payable and receivable, and manage intercompany transactions.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage daily operations of accounts payable and accounts receivable
Conduct regular bank reconciliations and cash management
Manage intercompany transactions and cash flow
Maintain and review separate books for each entity
Manage the invoicing process across all entities
Assist with month-end close process and reconcile accounting entries
Collaborate with outsourced controller and internal staff for book closing
Perform and oversee weekly aging review of accounts payable and accounts receivable
Coordinate inventory counts and ensure accurate monthly balances
Collaborate with other departments for accurate inventory accounting
Maintain updated schedules related to inventory and month-end closing.
Requirements - Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) operations
Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations
Familiarity with managing and maintaining the General Ledger
Ability to record and document Journal Entries accurately
Skill in executing Month End Close tasks and responsibilities
Proficient user of Sage 100 accounting software
