POSITION SUMMARY
Under minimum supervision, design, and support of value-added Solutions
from customer supplied specifications. Work with Engineering management
to develop a complete control package design to support Mitsubishi
Electric Automation (MEAU) manufacturing and to meet the customers needs
and requirements. Work with Design Engineering team to bring product to
production.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions
Knowledge of the following functions:
Create quotations based on customer specifications.
Work with Design Engineering team to bring product to production.
Elementary skill level required for the following functions:
Review & verify customer specifications (Schematic & Cable drawings,
Electrical Component Lists, etc.).
Create, update, modify electrical schematics, and layout drawings to
communicate change recommendations to customer.
Redesign and modify customer specifications to reduce material and
labor cost.
Manage multiple projects and communicate with other departments to
make sure documentations are released on time to meet delivery
schedule.
Design cables and spec out components from power calculations.
Review, verify and update customer supplied sheet metal drawings.
Intermediate skill level required for the following functions:
Prepare and create complete system BOM in SAP.
Create an assembly drawing package based on customer specification
to assist proto@type and assembly in manufacturing the control
cabinets.
Create Engineering Change Notice (ECN) to support customer design
change requests.
Create Material Master, BOM and Change Master in SAP.
Utilize Win-shuttle/DMS to upload/maintain drawings on the website.
Support and maintain Engineering Department ISO9000 Documentations.
Advanced skill level required for the following functions:
Use AutoCAD and/or Solidworks to create Assembly, Point Wiring and
Cable drawings.
Perform other job functions as assigned.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Technology student Junior or Senior level.
Ability to read schematic drawings and translate to point wirings.
Ability to apply UL/NFPA Standards to size/verify electrical
components and cables
Ability to operate AutoCAD and/or Solidworks software
Experience with sheet metal design
Computer proficiency Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel
and Access)
Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with
and maintain effective relationships with customers, vendors and
team members
Teamwork orientated
Attention to detail
BENEFICIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience in Panel Builder
Experience in Power Distribution
Knowledge in NEC/NFPA79 codes
Experience in SAP
PHYSICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL, COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for
prolonged periods
