OVERVIEW
Merrick & Company is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer
II to join our Greenwood Village (Denver Metro), CO office. Client
projects for this position requires U.S. Citizenship.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for electrical and I&C design, be
able and willing to perform CAD as well as engineering, be nimble in
accepting a wide range of assignments both nuclear and non-nuclear and enjoy a
team design environment. Relocation assistance will be provided as part of the
overall compensation package depending on experience.
Typical annual pay range for this position is $153,500.00 -
$198,700.00. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge,
skills, and experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Technical Specialist will serve as a lead professional engineer for teams
of engineers and designers within the Electrical and I&C group.
Additionally, the Technical Specialist will lead design projects and
supervise electrical engineers and designers. Work involves a variety of
activities including conceptual and detailed design of low voltage and medium
voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding, motor control
systems, process equipment and instrumentation. Perform non-routine
assignments with little or no direction.
Attend client meetings and making presentations to clients
Perform Code Reviews
Lead design, development, and production of projects
Redline project drawings
Provide technical guidance and review of construction documents
Write specifications
Communicate design changes to clients and other disciplines
Perform project quality assurance/quality control, including independent
technical reviews and interdisciplinary coordination reviews
Provide engineering support to equipment fabrication and installation. Create
and managing schedule and budgets for projects
Supervise, lead, manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers and
designers
Problem solves, guide, and mentor staff
Assess employee performance
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of eighteen (18) years of progressive experience in Electrical
Engineering design
Degree Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
Professional Engineering (P.E.) license required
Candidate should have extensive knowledge of Nuclear related design
(NQA-1, NRTL, etc.)
Expert level experience in electrical calculations (power distribution,
fault circuit analysis, lighting, and grounding)
Strong NEC, ISA, IEEE Regulatory Codes experience
The ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance.
Client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous work on Department of Energy governmental facility projects
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD based drawing generation experience
SKM or ETAP experience
