experienced Laboratory / Facility Electrical Engineer for our Life Sciences
business unit in our Greenwood Village, CO, San Antonio, TX, or
Georgia offices

environment. This position requires a competent professional engineer who
will be responsible for all phases of engineering production and BIM for a
variety of work ranging from programming through construction administration.
This includes interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating the
design and production effort for one or more large or complex projects.
Typical salary range for this position is $108,000.00 - $132,000.00.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Design of electrical systems for facilities / laboratories for Government,
University, and private clients.
Provide conceptual / detailed design and analysis for facility power
distribution (600V), emergency power generation, grounding and
lightning protection, lighting design, telecommunications
(voice/data), fire alarm / mass notification, security, access
control, and spe
Provide supporting documentation such as calculations, reports, and
specifications.
This individual is expected to possess extensive knowledge on electrical
regulatory codes.
Meet with clients to prepare and/or validate proposed scope of work.
Prepare fee proposals for engineering design work.
Work with other disciplines to ensure accuracy of the package, meet
schedule, and budget commitments and meet expectations for attendance and
punctuality.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely; both verbally and in writing
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and with strong attention to detail
Ability to consistently meet deadlines, completing tasks as previously defined
Ability to travel as needed.
Ability to write and edit specifications
Work in a design team environment, including directing and mentoring the
work of junior engineers and designers, and delegating work as required as
well as provide management of the local team.
Capable of performing all of the above with minimal direction
An agreed upon hybrid schedule, working from both home and office, is
available to employees in good standing.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Eight (8) years of experience in facility Electrical Engineering design
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required
Familiar with REVIT/AutoCAD or other design software-based drawing generation
Experience using electrical calculation tools is desired, including lighting
and power software such as AGi32, Elum Tools, SKM Power Tools, ETAP,
and EasyPower.
Proficient using Microsoft Office Excel & Word
Experience with technical codes such as NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEEE is required
The client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with USDA, ARS, CDC and other laboratory clients.
