Job Overview & Responsibilities
This position is a detailed design engineering opportunity within the
Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) organization.
The candidate will have a diverse taskset spanning areas such as RF,
Communication Systems, Instrumentation Systems, Power and Controls, and
general EGSE.
This engineer is responsible for supporting design of DC control systems for
Atlas and Vulcan launch vehicles as well as the Ground Electrical
Instrumentation System (Data Acquisition System and transducer interfacing).
Additionally, this engineer is responsible for implementing,
maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and may include
interfacing with counterparts in procurement, logistics, testing, other
engineering functions, and operations as needed.
Tasks include hardware selection, reviewing and editing complex engineering
drawings, parts lists, test procedures and schematics, wire list
creation, basic cable design/layout, and harness design/modeling.
There are opportunities to directly support launching the Atlas and Vulcan
launch vehicles as well as to become an expert in a specific subsystem.
This position is resident to the Denver metro area; however, travel may
include the manufacturing and launch sites.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field from an
accredited college or university
Ability to identify and select electical components in support of
pneumatics, avionics, and ground systems.
Personal involvement with implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting
electrical systems/circuits
Experience reviewing, editing, and providing feedback on engineering
drawings, parts lists, test procedures, and schematics.
Experience integrating COTS hardware into system level designs.
Technical knowledge of grounding/bonding principles and practices.
Understanding of basic cable design/layout and harness design/modeling and
schematics
CAD tools for modeling and tracking engineering changes.
Preferred Qualifications
MS degree in a relevant engineering field from an accredited college or
university
Experience with NX, Teamcenter, and Zuken, or similar CAD software.
Experience working independently while being a productive and collaborative
team member
Candidates are self-motivated with demonstrated skills during past work
experience regarding their initiative, teamwork, soft skills, and reliability
Solid understanding of problem definition and issue resolution process steps
Prefer experience with several of the following:
RF systems design, analysis, or test
Redundant command/control circuits
Instrumentation (Data Acquisition Systems and transducer interfacing)
Communications systems (Network, Optical, IRIG, RS232/485, etc.)
Project management or coordination
JIRA, Confluence
Hardware selection and procurement
Summary Salary Range (forULA - Denveronly): $65,284.00 - $108,806.00
Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline
only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications,
as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees
may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
