Field Service Supervisor - Automated Finishing Equipment Location: Remote - Must reside within 1 hour of a major regional or international airport Travel: Extensive (Weeks at a time on-site) Join the Koch Finishing Systems team and play a vital role in delivering advanced automated paint finishing equipment to clients across North America. We are looking for a hands-on, driven Field Service Supervisor to oversee installation, start-up, and commissioning of our cutting-edge systems. What You'll Do: Lead and supervise the installation, start-up, and commissioning of automated finishing equipment at customer sites. Manage field teams and contractors, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of all project phases. Partner with Project Managers, Engineers, and clients to define project deliverables and schedules. Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and customer training during equipment installation and optimization. Identify and resolve issues with mechanical, electrical, and control systems in real-time. Document and report project activities, service calls, installation checklists, and customer interactions. Enforce and model compliance with safety procedures, protocols, and site regulations. Share field insights with internal teams to help improve design, installation practices, and customer support. Commit to significant travel, spending multiple weeks at customer sites with planned breaks between assignments. What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred or 5+ years of experience in field service or industrial equipment installation, ideally with automation or finishing systems. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor field teams, with a hands-on leadership approach. Solid troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines. Strong communication skills to interface confidently with customers, engineers, and project managers. Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including weekends as needed. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Capable of lifting heavy equipment and working in challenging site conditions.
