Job Title: Maintenance Technician - $68-72k - DIRECT PLACEMENT
Job Description
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Minneapolis, MN facility. The position is responsible for general maintenance tasks involving plumbing, carpentry, snow removal, electrical, light construction, and preventative maintenance/general equipment repair on specified pumps, boilers, HVAC equipment, and generators.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance in PSM/RMP/ISO/SQF regulated and certified facilities.
Maintain accurate reports and records including documentation of systems and components.
Conduct general facility and equipment repairs including pipe fitting, pump repair, boiler/HVAC/compressors/pump operations, tank inspections, and sprinkler systems.
Provide feedback to engineers to help modify existing equipment and improve the design of future equipment.
Respond quickly to trouble calls and make necessary repairs.
Direct the work of 3rd party contractors/vendors.
Remove snow and salt driveways and entryways.
Be available for on-call emergencies.
Uphold standards for quality and safety through continuous improvement activities and adherence to applicable environmental, safety, and health regulations and policies.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent required; a 2-year technical degree preferred.
5+ years of facility/manufacturing maintenance experience required.
Ability to communicate complex and/or technical operations and procedures in terms easily understood by non-technical operators.
2nd Class Boiler License preferred, at minimum, specials is required.
Valid driver's license.
Computer skills to effectively use maintenance software, communicate through email, and research equipment/spare parts.
Ability to work weekends (when needed) and be on-call.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with maintenance repair, pumps, valves, servo motors, plumbing, HVAC units, equipment maintenance, preventative maintenance, mechanical repair, electrical repair, troubleshooting, pipe fitting, carpentry, fabrication, pneumatic system, and hydraulic system.

Work Environment
This position is located at a chemical distribution facility in Minneapolis, MN. The individual must be comfortable working around chemicals, adhere to strict safety guidelines, and maintain a safe environment. The job may require working at heights, and candidates should not have a fear of heights. The typical hours are 1st Shift, 8:00am - 4:30pm or 9:00am - 5:30pm, with 40-46 hours per week. The role may also require being on-call and occasional Saturday work for special projects, as well as the possibility of floating to other plants in the city for additional support.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $68640.00 - $72800.00/yr.
