About the Role
We are seeking a Sales & Business Development Manager with a strong sales background and deep expertise in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance to join our growing team. You will play a key role in driving the growth of our technology-driven brokerage by identifying, engaging, and onboarding top-tier 1099 insurance agents. Your efforts will directly impact on the expansion of our agent network, making this a highly visible and strategic role.
While this is a remote position, candidates based in Florida are strongly preferred. Additional preferred locations include Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Texas.
This position requires a proactive, results-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Operations, to enhance our go-to-market strategy and optimize agent acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Sales Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to identify and attract high-performing insurance agents.
- Pipeline Management: Own the end-to-end business development process from prospecting to onboarding, ensuring a seamless and efficient sales cycle.
- Consultative Selling: Understand the needs and challenges of insurance agents and articulate the value proposition of Renegade Insurance’s model and technology-driven solutions.
- Partnership Development: Build and nurture relationships with top insurance agents, agency owners, and key industry stakeholders to drive sustained growth.
- Market Intelligence & Feedback Loop: Gather insights from prospects and industry trends to inform Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams, ensuring continuous improvement of our offerings.
- Collaboration & Process Optimization: Work closely with internal teams to enhance our sales funnel, marketing messaging, and agent onboarding experience.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies to optimize conversion rates and overall business growth.
- Brand Representation: Act as an ambassador for Renegade Insurance at industry events, networking opportunities, and professional associations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding quotas.
- 3+ years of experience in insurance sales, preferably in P&C insurance.
- Strong understanding of what it takes to be a successful insurance agent and the challenges they face.
- The ability to thrive in a startup or high-growth environment with a hands-on, adaptable approach.
- Tech-savvy with experience using CRM systems and outreach tools.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- High level of self-motivation, resilience, and a growth mindset.
