One of the top performing independent studios in the US market is hiring it's Art Director to work remote from anywhere in the US. This company has strong US leadership and US game design teams with offshore production delivering number one games.

As the Art Director you will be a key decision maker and creative driver in game production. Manage art professionals and oversee game production to ensure the highest standards of production while creating art and animation.

Responsibilities:

Direct detailed aspects of art and animation ensuring high quality products.
Develops concepts with designers; understanding the game play/functionality and translating their vision into actionable art strategies for projects.
Manage and advise team members on day-to-day operations, work products and deadlines.
Interpret and disseminate cross-team feedback to the team.
Create illustration and animation assets
Assists Designers in gathering assets to be presented and reviewed in Designer meetings.
Mentor and train artists.
Manages timelines, resources, and budget allocations for related projects; ensuring that deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
Works closely with multiple internal and external global teams.
Carries the creative process from concept to completion.

Requirements:

5+ years experience creating art packages in slot or video game industry.
Portfolio of previous work that displays an ability to turn ideas into compelling games.
Demonstrated knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite.
Knowledge in any 3D software and Spine strongly preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of the game development process.
