Description of Job
These positions provide administrative office support and services for various divisions, licensing boards, and programs in the Department.
Duties include, but are not limited to: the evaluation of applications and supporting documents; setting up files and entering data into systems, including licensing systems and checking for accuracy and completeness; analyzing information and documents to determine compliance with rules, regulations, and laws; contacting appropriate entities or individuals for additional information; monitoring to ensure that timeframes are met; analyzing and fulfilling requests for public documents; maintaining and preparing files for permanent records retention; organizing and preparing information for consideration by Boards and stakeholders; responding to a very high volume of inquiries from applications and other entities by telephone, email, and written communication; perform complaint intake functions; prepare board meeting agendas and follow-up; and complete other administrative duties, including: reception duties; copying and faxing; position specific automated systems; mail distribution, such as mass mailings; and other duties as assigned. Some positions may require flexibility and openness to frequently changing job duties and assignments.

Three (3) years of full-time professional* general clerical experience in an office environment, which must include all of the following:
Experience processing applications and/or analyzing documents for completeness, correctness, and/or compliance;
Experience managing calls and/or responding to difficult customers with tact and diplomacy;
Experience working according to detailed policies, procedures, and deadlines;
Experience utilizing general PC software applications, including Microsoft Office and Google (e.g. Word, Excel, Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Forms, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, etc.).
Option 2: A Combination of Education AND Experience
Associate's Degree and Experience:Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate's degree in business administration, general management, communication, or in a field of study related to the work assignment; AND
One (1) year of full-time professional* general clerical experience in an office environment, which must include all of the following:
Experience processing applications and/or analyzing documents for completeness, correctness, and/or compliance;
Experience managing calls and/or responding to difficult customers with tact and diplomacy;
Experience working according to detailed policies, procedures, and deadlines;
Experience utilizing general PC software applications, including Microsoft Office and Google (e.g. Word, Excel, Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Forms, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, etc.).
OR
College, university, or non-correspondence business school coursework from an accredited institution in business administration, general management, communication , or a field of study related to the work assignment may substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis (up to three (3) years).
