Summary:
We are seeking individuals to join our Kohler Generator Service Team in the Kansas City, MO area. As a Generator Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing, and installing generators for our clients. Your expertise in electrical systems and mechanical components will ensure the reliable operation and performance of the generators, providing uninterrupted power supply to our customers.
Reports to: Foreman
Minimum Qualifications:
igh school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a Generator Service Technician or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of generator systems, electrical controls, and mechanical components.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in the electrical field.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as required.
Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varying weather conditions.
Current, valid driver's license with clean driving record
Ability to pass a DOT physical

Working Conditions:
Work locations are primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions with frequent travel to customer locations for on-site repairs. You will work around electricity and other potential hazards requiring appropriate safety equipment and practices at all times. Much of the equipment used is heavy, so you must have the ability to lift as much as 75 pounds, as needed.

Essential Job Functions:
Perform maintenance and repair of generators according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues to identify faults and implement necessary repairs.
Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal generator performance and extend lifespan.
Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed, including detailed service reports and parts used.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in generator technology to provide superior service and support.
Respond promptly to client requests and emergency service calls to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
Participate in the rotating responsibility of a 24/7 on-call technician rotation
