Class A Production Maintenance w/ Electronics
Role:
The role of a Class A Production Maintenance w/ Electronics person is to perform preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on Mechanical & Electrical production equipment and systems. Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to increase efficiency, capability, and yield. Perform equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance). Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems. Additionally, Production Maintenance Technicians documents preventative maintenance issues.
Position Responsibilities:
Utilizing a CMMS such as SAP to enter defects, record time daily, and retrieve assigned work
coordinate with outside contractors as necessary
Install new machinery, overhaul equipment, and rebuild and fabricate parts as required.
Carry out All electrical repairs and inspections as required to ensure equipment runs reliably in production.
Consistently maintain company safety and cleanliness standards in the production environment
Assist maintenance personnel with plant maintenance as needed
Clean and lubricate equipment or machinery.
Monitor performance of machinery and equipment; adjust and calibrate as needed, ensuring that equipment meets specifications and requirements.
Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning parts and conduct tests to ensure that repairs are satisfactory.
Occasionally required to perform repairs on building. Minor carpentry, plumbing, or painting.
Participate in various lean manufacturing activities to improve production, reduce waste, or learn new skills
Assist in training other employees.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Must have excellent attention to detail and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Ability to read and comprehend operation manuals, preventative maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Must be able to communicate and handle conflict in a professional manner.
Basic Computer skills, MS office.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints, both electrical and mechanical.
Experienced troubleshooting, repairing industrial production and facility equipment.
Hydraulics, pneumatics, steam, and conveyor system experience.
Strong foundation in electrical principles, including AC and DC circuits, 3-phase power systems, Motor Control and electrical safety.
Proficient in Installing and Troubleshooting Industrial automation devices, Motors, Servos, Encoders, PLC's, VFD's, HMI's & Sensors
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sit, stand, walk and climb stairs, ladders, platforms, etc. during time on duty
Lift/Carry/Push/Pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Can notice and distinguish normal from abnormal noises in equipment and machinery. Capable of listening and responding to fork lift truck safety beeps and to company radio system calls.
Physically able to respond in a timely manner to emergency and non-emergency situations at facility
Perform repetitive motions related to mechanical repairs, installations, etc
Able to work in temperature extremes.
Must be able to tolerate exposure to and use of sanitation chemicals.
