Summary: Cleans and prepares machinery, utensils, and equipment and prepares units for packing and shipping with necessary product enclosures and documents by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Uses approved cleaning solution and methods to clean units inside and out in preparation for shipment to the customer
Uses hand, pneumatic and electric tools to install covers, brackets or any other necessary fixtures to complete final assembly of the equipment
Removes shavings, lint, dirt, finger prints and other debris from units by cleaning the unit thoroughly inside and out according to specifications
Gathers appropriate documentation from files or job folders, prepares manuals on USB and/or paper forms to include in the package when the unit is shipped to the customer
Examines cleaned equipment to ensure conformance to standards and reports any issues to production supervisor before unit is packaged for shipment
Performs thorough inspections of equipment or parts of equipment to meet quality standards. Prepares certificates and release documents.
Gathers or makes necessary labels and applies to the equipment in correct location according to the brand and/or model of equipment.
Understands shipping schedule and concludes work in the appropriate timeframe so all units can be sent out as required
Assists with light packing of the units, including taping or wrapping the unit in plastic prior to being boxed or crated
Maintains appropriate inventory of necessary supplies
Performs paint touch-ups on units using brushes and sprays, when necessary

Education and/or Experience: Six to twelve months experience in a production environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to capture data and write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to follow directions.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are required. Use of Excel, Word and Google Sheets are used on a daily basis.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Prior experience with forklift and overhead crane desirable.
Other Qualifications: Familiarity with basic hand tools such as hand drills, wrenches, sockets screwdrivers. Must be mechanically inclined and willing work overtime on an as-needed basis to maintain production deadlines.
