This position is responsible for providing information to the public about all Family Health Education programs and acts as a liaison with Meriter Hospital, clinics, and other health providers.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Managing the registration platform for all classes and events
Creating and sending attendee and class correspondence
Database management for all Family Health Education programs
Scheduling and hosting all classes, meetings, programs, groups, and special events.
Providing AV and room set-up support for all events related to the Family Health Education department.
Maintaining mailing lists for specific populations
Collecting, compiling, and summarizing department statistics
Processing all refunds, transfers, community benefit and tuition assistance
Developing and processing a wide variety of educational materials
Providing program support to all instructional staff, guest presenters, and the department manager
Requirements:
Proficiency with Microsoft products - specifically creating Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.
1 or more years of experience as an administrative assistant, business assistant or an assistant for an academic institution.
One or more years of technical college, an associate degree, or a high school diploma plus 1-3 years of commensurate experience
Ability to physically set up/tear down class and event stations regularly
(this requires physical labor, such as bending, pushing, pulling, moving items, and carrying materials)
Preferred Requirements:
Completion of 1-2 years of college or more
Support experience in a health care or education setting.
